Update from Brad: BIT prerequisite training

[ Editor’s note: I’m delighted to post an update from Brad. Brad is on his way to becoming a Brain Integration Technique (BIT) practitioner. He shared his family’s experience with BIT in his first post. ]

This is chapter two of my story on the path to a new and integrated life through Crossinology. When I last wrote I was ready to head out to Boulder Colorado for my first class in Brain Integration. The official title of the course is B.I.T. pre-requisite training. I arrived in Boulder with much anticipation and some apprehension, as I had no ideal what to expect. The first day was great, we came together in Susan McCrossin’s loft office. As we all introduced ourselves I found I was surrounded by people who like me had found their way there after seeing the results of this therapy, either first hand or through the integration of a family member. Unlike me most had a background in the medical profession, some were RNs, a massage therapist and a physical therapist rounded out the group. The one thing we all had in common was an excitement for learning this new technique and sharing it with others.

Susan McCrossin herself along with two very dynamic assistants taught the class: Dr. Shelese Pratt a Homeopathic and Naturopathic doctor and Boyd a very gifted practioner of the technique. It was very apparent that we were there to learn and not much time was taken up with other matters. Susan did share with us some amazing stories of her successes working with people who have come to her clinic over the years. These stories just added to my desire to learn this technique as thoroughly as I could.

Each day built on the last, learning new things and then proceeding down to the practice room doing actual hands on clearing using the different techniques. Each afternoon we had the experience of hands on practice with one another and every night a group if not all of us would stay late into the night practicing. After the second day I was in my hotel room reflecting when the thought came to me that we had all quickly became a tight knit group. No doubt the common goal had united us. Boyd, Shelese and most nights Susan would be there to guide us further. The feeling in the room was one of total support. On one occasion one of the students revealed she was able to see auras. Of course those of us who did not know what color our auras were, asked her to tell us. I found out that day for the first time that I had a white aura. Not knowing what that meant I pressed her further and she stated “a white aura is the color of a healer” wow did I feel like I was in the right spot!

On the third night we were all practicing when Susan asked why my head was shaking. I told her that 4 ½ years ago my disc at C5-C6 had collapsed. As a result the nerves going to my left shoulder, arm, chest and back were smashed. I had a surgery fusing C5-C7 together, since then I’ve had problems with cramping in my left arm, hands and that my head shook from side to side. It also would not allow me to lift my left arm above my shoulder. She told me to stand-up which I did. After about ten muscle tests and activations she asked me to lift my arm. Because I had worked with all of the other students they were aware of my situation, as my arm went up jaws dropped. I’m able to lift my left arm over my shoulder palm down for the first time in over four years and my head is no longer shaking. In April I will be traveling back to Boulder to learn muscle activation myself. Susan has offered to activate some other muscles on the left side that still do not function properly as a demonstration for the class. All of the western doctors I have been to have stated “I had irreversible nerve damage” or that “I would need a surgery to remove the scar tissue that was pressing on the nerves thus blocking the signal to my different muscle groups”.

I’m home now rebuilding the strength in my left side. I am practicing my new talent of clearing allergies for my own family and friends, honing my skills and preparing for my new vocation. I very much enjoy being able to change people’s lives and look forward to having a very rewarding future. Looking back on my experience I know I not only learned a lot of great things, I also formed friendships with some very dynamic people that will be with me throughout my life. What started out as a quest to find help for my son has changed my life in a very dramatic and unforeseen way. I can only hope that I can make that kind of difference for some others in their own quest. Watch for more to come!!
